I used to love shake n bake growing up. I liked shaking the bag with the bread crumbs. It’s the simple things in life really… hahaha! My grocery store lately has been very disappointing in their choice of meats. I went about two months back and they were out of chicken. How does that even happen? They are obviously having ordering issues. I was cruising the meats section this week and realized that I have not had pork chops in a while. I instantly thought about shake n bake. I have made homemade “bread crumbs” before, so I knew it would be a super simple hack. They came out perfect! Shaking the bag with the coating mixture is tons of fun! With this recipe, you can either get the kids involved, or relive your childhood memories.
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
2. In a large baggie, add almond flour and spices. Shake the baggie to mix everything well.
3 Wisk the egg in a shallow bowl, large enough to fit the pork chops. Run a pork chop, on each side, through the egg wash.
4. Drop into baggie with the coating. Shake until well covered. Place on baking sheet. Repeat this until all the pork chops are done.
5. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
