Chicken in the Crockpot

Here is another super simple recipe that I posted a photo of on social media, but wanted to make sure was searchable on the site for everyone. This recipe is so easy and so delicious! There is minimal prep before this chicken is cooking to fall off the bone perfection! I couldn’t even take a pretty photo of it finished because it fell apart when I was taking it out of the crockpot.

1 Whole Chicken
1/4 cup onions, diced
1/2 cup parsley
2 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup chicken broth or water

1. Rinse off the chicken and remove the stuff on the inside. Stuff it with the diced onions.
2. Place chicken upside down in crock pot, season that side with 1 tbsp each of black pepper and garlic powder.
3. Rotate the chicken and top with the rest of the spices. Pour the broth around the bottom of the pot.
4. Cook on low for 5 hours.

Note: As the chicken cooks, the crockpot will fill with the broth that it creates. After you remove the chicken, you can pour the broth out to save and use in another dish. Store in the refrigerator.
